    QC Pro Gage Management

...An organized approach to ensure measurement integrity

 Overview

The software offers a complete system for:

Scheduling calibrations and MSA  studies

Maintaining historical records of all activities
  • MSA Edition 3  (Stability, Bias, Linearity, GRR, Attribute)

The approach taken is consistent with those outlined in well-established quality system
requirements including ISO 9000,  ISO/TS 16949 and  six sigma programs.

The software offers everything you need now, and grows with your needs.

Set Up

Practical information is recorded during the initial gage set up.

Some of the key elements include:
Interval between calibrations / msa studies
       - units can be day, week, month or year
  • Calibration based on usage

Picture of measurement instrument

Target values along the gage operating range

Standards information

Measurement Uncertainty

Procedures on how to calibrate the gage

Custom fields that are user defined

Skip Holidays

The due dates for calibrations and statistical studies can skip user identified periods.

By utilizing the built in monthly or quarterly calendar, one can select the days, on which nothing
should be scheduled.

Reporting Flexibility

The criteria for identifying the gages to be included in the selected report are user determined.

Filtering and ordering the report can be based on:

Date range or overdue

Select gages from list

Gage id, Description, Location

User defined fields (e.g. graduation, size etc.)

Gages Due

A gages due list   is available identifying the gage, description, location and scheduled calibration or statistical study due date.

This report can automatically be generated upon entering the QC-Pro gage management software.

Calibration Work Order

This report includes all the calibration details for the specific gage. Space is provided to enter Before/After values, signatures and other key items. The calibration procedure is printed out in full as well.

Certificate of Calibration

This is a  single page report including the before/after readings, any comments and a free
format statement certifying the calibration.

Gage Calibration Labels

A custom label layout is created by the user.  Setup information  such as field titles, text font, label size
and other elements are user defined.

It is possible to get labels for a single gage or a set of gages.  Numerous label formats are supported
including laminated labels.

Gage History

All activities performed on a gage are recorded, providing a detailed gage profile.

Transactions

Information for each activity performed on a gage (calibration, MSA study, repair etc.) is entered
into a transaction record.

All existing activities that have been performed on the gage are summarized in a table. Complete
details for a specific transaction is one mouse click.

Master reference details, several lines of descriptive information and accept/reject status can be recorded.

Gage readings for before and after calibration can be entered.

A link to an external calibration certification document can be recorded in each transaction record.

Measurement System Analysis

Statistical studies on the measurement system provide an understanding of the inherent gage error.

The following MSA methods (based on AIAG edition 3) are supported:

Stability
      Bias

Linearity
       Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR)
            - Average and Range (Long Method)
            - ANOVA method
            - Range (Short Method)

Attribute Gage Study  (cross tab and  kappa values)

MSA - GRR Data Sheet

The data sheet contains the GRR raw measurements as well intermediate
calculations.

A blank data sheet can also be generated to manually write in the measurement
values.

MSA - GRR Analysis Report

The analysis and concluding guideline can be based on total variation (TV)
or part tolerance band.

GRR Summary Analysis Report

This report is a tabulation of GRR results for all gauges falling in a designated GRR range.
As an example all gauges with a GRR less than or equal to 10%

MSA - Stability Analysis

The control chart is used to monitor gage stability.  The type of control charts
available include:

           Average and Range chart (XBar/R)
Individual and Moving Range chart (X/MR)

Moving Average and Moving Range chart (MA/MR)

Average and Sigma chart (XBar/S)

Attribute Gage Study

The attribute Go/No-Go gage study evaluates the level of agreement among appraisers.

In addition the study compares each appraiser to the reference decision.

The approach uses a cross tabulation matrix and the kappa statistic value.

Password Protection

In order to secure the system, password protection is provided. If the password option is utilized,
access is limited to viewing only, unless a valid password is entered.

Export Information

MSA reports can be exported to adobe .PDF files or attached e-mail

The contents of different reports can be sent to HTML pages and posted
to the internet.

Many popular spreadsheet, data base, word processor and other file formats are supported.
