...Providing the key charts, calculations and reports

Overview

The system is powerful enough to fulfill the needs of the quality specialist yet
simple enough to be used by operators on the shop floor.

The calculations and analysis are consistent with various quality system requirements
including ISO 9000, ISO/TS 16949 and six sigma programs.

Key Features

Practical elements of the system include:

Ÿ Operator mode data entry with real time control chart display

Ÿ Corrective action and problem documentation

Ÿ Power mode spreadsheet data entry

Ÿ MS Excel import / export data

Ÿ Capability analysis with Cpk and Ppk

Ÿ Control charts with user defined statistical rules

Ÿ Plant capability summary table

Ÿ Pareto analysis on defects

Ÿ E-Mail reports as .pdf file attachments

Ÿ Language and terminology user modifiable

Ÿ Password system access protection

Software Operation

The look and feel of the software is consistent with current MS Office applications
resulting in an intuitive interface between the user and program.

Product Detail

There are many sensible features associated with each product.

Ÿ User customized fields (e.g. batch, machine, operator etc.)

Ÿ Picture of product characteristic

Ÿ Monitor multiple characteristics per product

Ÿ Subgroup size can be different for each characteristic

Ÿ Procedure instructions on how to measure characteristic

Data Entry

There are two methods of entering measurements:

            · Real time with control chart
            · Power spread sheet entry

The real time entry expects the data to be entered as a subgroup and then plotted on a control chart
for immediate viewing and documenting any problems and corrective action.

Graphic feedback is provided by a row of rectangular segments that light up to reflect the
current measurement in relation to specifications.

A traffic light (green, yellow and red) is used to provide additional pictorial feedback.

The power spreadsheet entry mode is for mass data input.

Data import/export capabilities from an MS Excel spreadsheet are also provided for in
the power entry mode.

Reports

The following is a partial list of available reports:

Ÿ Control charts for variable type data

Ÿ Capability analysis with Cpk and Ppk

Ÿ Plant wide capability summary table

Ÿ Pareto analysis on defect categories

Ÿ Data table

Reporting Flexibility

Prior to generating the desired report, one can focus in on the data of interest.
By utilizing the data filter option, the report can be narrowed down to include
only data for a particular customer, batch, operator, date range etc.

Report Output

All reports can be emailed as .pdf  file attachments, printed as a hard copy or  saved as an electronic file.

Each report can display your company's logo as well as a picture of the characteristic being measured.

Control Chart

The control chart includes a table with the following information for each plot point:

Ÿ Date plus time or any of the user set custom fields

Ÿ Subgroup data values

Ÿ Average plus range values

Additional features include:

Ÿ Control limits are automatically calculated  or can be  manually set.

Ÿ Specification limits can  be shown on the chart

Ÿ Vertical  axis scaling is automatic or can be manually set

Ÿ General notes can be displayed at the bottom of the chart

Control Chart Rules

Feedback can be given to the user if certain rules are violated.  These rules
can be adjusted to suite the specific needs of a company.

Process Capability Analysis

This report displays a histogram of the measurements, bell curve and product specifications.

It includes the key capability indices (Cpk, Ppk etc.) as well as predicted percent out of
out of specifications and other practical statistical elements.

Capability Summary

This is a plant wide managerial report summarizing key process capability values for each product characteristic.

Any index below a user defined threshold is displayed in red.

Pareto Analysis

The bar graph is ordered from highest to lowest defect category count and helps identify the critical
few high count defect categories to focus in on.

A table provides percentage and PPM information for each defect category count compared to:

Ÿ Total Defect Count

Ÿ Total Product Sampled

Ÿ Total Product Manufactured
